Being an Global Commodity Sales and Trading Associate at Citi
Associates are the linchpins of a project team responsible from the smallest detail to integrating high-level strategy.  As Industries all over the globe are continuing to grow we need to recruit people who have what it takes to keep Citi successful.
Initial Training
All Commodities Associates participate in training within the first month that they join Citi.   The comprehensive training is taught by selected professionals with industry and product expertise.
What You Can Expect To Learn as an Associate
Citi’s Global Commodity Sales and Trading division is currently looking for candidates for our full-time Associate Program in Houston.  Associates will perform rotations in the areas of trading, marketing, origination, structured products, principal investments, and supporting groups.  Following rotations, Associates will be placed in a role in one of trading, marketing, origination, structured products, and principal investments.
Who We’re Looking For
The Associate program is for people with their Master’s degree, JD or PhD.  Ccandidates should possess strong quantitative and analytical skills, and the ability to work well in teams.  MBA degree or equivalent experience in the energy industry is required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are critical. Candidates should also have a strong interest in energy markets and the factors that impact them. These qualities are reflected in the diverse talents and backgrounds of our Associates.
