Who We're Looking For
We’re committed to
investing in our Analyst Programs, both during the recruitment
stage and beyond. We provide ongoing learning and development
opportunities to ensure all of our people have superior financial
knowledge and the skills they need to develop and maintain
profitable client relationships.
We asked our GTS recruiters to describe what makes a good
candidate and what specific skills they are looking for.
We welcome applications from all backgrounds and celebrate
diversity. Employing and training the most talented candidates is
fundamental to achieving our business goals.
To excel, you’ll need an excellent academic background and will
have to demonstrate high levels of self-motivation, initiative and
adaptability. You’ll be creative and enjoy solving problems, both
independently and in a team environment. If you’re applying for a
role outside London, you must be fluent in the language of the
country you are applying to work in. As the GTS full-time Analyst
Program runs across EMEA, you should be willing to relocate across
the region at some stage during the two-year rotational
program.
Summer Internship
Our Summer Internship Program runs for 10 weeks from the end of
June to the end of August. You’ll attend an induction to Citi with
over 100 other Summer Analysts who are joining Citi’s various
divisions in London.
Your initial training will include:
- Things you need to know as a new Citi employee
- An introduction to Global Financial Markets and Citi. This
course provides the opportunity for you to identify and explain the
main business areas of an investment bank and our products and
services, as well as to engage in interactive trading simulations
and portfolio management
- Specific business presentations
After Training
Before you join the program, you’ll be given a number of project
options to select from. This will determine the team that you’ll be
working with over the summer. Throughout your time with us, we’ll
host a number of business presentations over breakfast and lunch to
give you the opportunity to network with some of our most senior
GTS representatives. In addition, we hold a weekly business
presentation series, networking opportunities with senior managers,
and various intern-wide social events. We’ll also allocate you a
‘buddy’, who will provide you with a support network and informal
advice.
During the program, you’ll take part in a formal evaluation
process that will help us to determine your suitability for a
full-time position on the following year’s Analyst Program.
Remember, this is a two-way process; we also want you to decide
whether this is the right place for you to start your career.
