What advice would you offer prospective
candidates on transitioning from school to the
workplace?
I would advise students to remember to
enjoy life. In this industry, you will definitely work hard and it
is important to take time to do things that you enjoy.
What non-work related activities do
you get involved in through Citi (community, mentoring,
charity)?
I am heavily involved with organizations that Citi has
relationships with like Sponsorship for Educational Opportunity
(SEO) and Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT), where I mentor
students who are interested in careers in financial services.
How would you describe your team
and the people you work with?
I work with some of the
most intelligent people I’ve ever interacted with. We all have very
diverse backgrounds, and I find myself learning from my colleagues
every day in more ways than one.
Where do you see yourself in 5
years?
After attending graduate school to study
International Relations and Business, I plan to work for a
development bank focusing on private sector development in emerging
markets/developing countries.
How did your
summer internship help you make the decision to pursue a career at
Citi?
My summer internship sparked my
interest in the financial services industry and taught me a lot
about myself and my abilities, and the people I worked with over
the summer made it an easy decision to start my career at Citi.
What is the most interesting fact
about yourself?
I can speak 6 different
languages.
